How to Control Mosquito Menace

Posted by Elecwire on 04:11

Mosquitoes may be very small in size but they are considered to be one of the most dangerous pests in the world as they can carry and cause potentially fatal diseases like malaria, chikungunya, dengue, Japanese B-encephalitis, brain fever, yellow fever in African region and some more dangerous diseases which can become an epidemic if not controlled in time. Such is the risk that they are the most hated & dreaded insects in this world. They are born in standing stagnant waters as they lay eggs and hatch from their eggs within a short span of time 6-10 days. The best way to control mosquitoes is to prevent them from breeding. Most of the time people are advised not to keep stagnant water uncovered or to avoid water pools in their neighborhood so as to prevent mosquitoes from breeding in these areas.
But still it has been seen that the mosquitoes manage to breed in areas like uncovered drains, air-coolers, ditches and other small stagnant water bodies. The best season for the mosquitoes in India is the rainy season/annual monsoon season. They breed well in humid areas and the risk or mosquito related diseases are high during this season.    The most common mosquitoes species found in India are:-

1. Malaria causing Anopheles Mosquitoes

2. Japanese B Encephalitis causing Culex Mosquitoes

3. Chikungunya and Dengue causing Aedes Mosquitoes

These mosquitoes need special fumigation procedures to be eradicated or one needs to protect oneself from these pests by using special protection materials. People either try to cover their body parts thoroughly or apply mosquito repellent creams over the exposed parts of their bodies in order to protect themselves from the mosquito bites. People also use nets and other mosquito screens to prevent mosquitoes from entering their homes. Solomon Bio Pharma & Research has developed a revolutionary device called M-Trap to kill mosquitoes without any using harmful chemicals or skin creams. This M-Trap has a unique concept whereby the mosquitoes are lured towards the device and then they are sucked into the device where they get killed naturally by dehydration. There are no fumes or chemicals involved which means that this is a healthy product without any harmful effects to the human being or to the atmosphere.
